Author Bio for Jacob, Fred
Edward Frederick Fulford (Fred) Jacob (1882-1928) was a Canadian journalist and author. He was born in Elora, Ontario and became a journalist in his career. For a long time he was a literary and drama critic for the Mail and Empire (now the Globe and Mail). He suffered from rheumatic fever as a child which led to his premature death at age 45. He wrote two novels and three short stories as well as a number of one act plays. His short stories were published posthumously in MacLean's Magazine in 1929. E. J. (Edward Jackson) Dinsmore (1885-1936) was a Canadian artist and illustrator. He was a frequent contributor to MacLean's Magazine in the 1920's and 1930's.
