Author Bio for Sissons, C. B.
Charles Bruce Sissons (1879-1965) was born near Barrie and graduated from Victoria University (now part of the University of Toronto) in 1901. After studying at Oxford University, he returned to Victoria in 1909 to teach history, initially as a lecturer, later becoming an Associate Professor and then Professor Emeritus. He is perhaps best known for his biography of Egerton Ryerson. He also published a history of Victoria University. (Macmillan Dictionary of Canadian Biography)
