Author Bio for Wallace, Archer
Archer Wallace was born in England in 1884. He immigrated to Boswarlos, Newfoundland in 1904, studied at Victoria University and the University of Western Ontario, and was ordained into the Methodist Church in 1909. From 1919 until his retirement in 1954, he edited youth magazines for the Church’s Sunday School Publications. A compassionate author of boys literature, he wrote popular uplifting, inspirational books, based on true stories, about boys who overcame hardships and obstacles to become honorable, responsible men. He also hosted the first United Church television program in Canada. He died in 1958.
