Author Bio for Thompson, J. M. (James Matthew)

James Matthew Thompson, (27 September 1878 – 8 October 1956) was an English historian and liberal theologian. Ordained an Anglican priest in 1904, he held various posts at Oxford through the 1920s. Later, he published books on modern European history and was a university lecturer in French history from 1931.
