Author Bio for McKishnie, Archie P.
Archie P. McKishnie (1878-1946) was a Canadian journalist and author. Born in New Scotland, Ontario, he published his first novel in 1907. Shortly after that he moved to Toronto where he worked as the dramatic editor of the Toronto newspaper Sunday World. He published many short stories in magazines such as MacLean's and was well known as a writer of nature themed books. He travelled widely across the country in search of material for his books. E. J. (Edward Jackson) Dinsmore (1885-1936) was a Canadian artist and illustrator. He was a frequent contributor to MacLean's Magazine in the 1920's and 1930's.
