Author Bio for Camsell, Charles
Charles Camsell (1876-1958) was a Canadian geologist and civil servant who served most of his career in Canada's northern regions. He surveyed the geology of Yukon and Northwest Territories that took him to some of the most remote locations in the North. He also did geological fieldwork in southern British Columbia, taking a detailed survey of the unique gold deposits of Nickel Plate Mountain. He published his autobiography, Son of the North in 1954.
