Author Bio for Gray, Beryl
Beryl Gray (1907-1950) was a Canadian writer. She spent most of her life in Vancouver, B.C., her family emigrating from England when she was seven years old. She was fascinated with writing from an early age and even drafted a novel when she was 12. She published 22 serials and almost 150 short stories during her career. Most of these were published in magazines such as Canadian Magazine, MacLean's and Chatelaine. Gray travelled extensively which gave her experience to give the characters in her stories a measure of authenticity that was valued amongst her readership. Her mother was of Australian heritage and travels there further enhanced her narrative experience. She wrote one novel that was published a year after her death. (Canada's Early Women Writers)

H. W. (Harold Wellington) McCrea (1887-1969) was a Canadian artist and illustrator. He was a frequent contributor to MacLean's Magazine.
