Author Bio for Runyon, Damon
Damon Runyon (1884-1946) was an American writer and journalist. He was born in Kansas and served in the army during the Spanish-American War. In 1911 he began a career as a journalist specializing in sports reporting. He then began to write books, principally poetry and plays but also collections of short stories. His collection Guys and Dolls was turned into a popular Broadway musical. Faded Page hosts some of his short story collections including More than Somewhat, Take it Easy, and Written in Sickness.
