Title:Die Erzählung des Obersten Morse
Author:
Postl, Karl Anton  Writing under the pseudonym: Sealsfield, Charles
Published:   1841
Language:German
Tags:adventure, crime, fiction, U.S.A.
Description:

A first, careless encounter with the untamed natural world of the Texan prairie and its equally feral inhabitants ends with a lynching and two murders. The story, set during the period of Mexican rule, reflects the prejudices of its day, e.g. by judging different races to be superior or inferior. [Suggest a different description.]
